| G.I.F.T.S. - Great Ideas for Teaching Successfully | ||
G.I.F.T.S. is held every year during University Days in August. It gives attendees an opportunity to share techniques and learn what each other is doing in the classroom. The session lasts 90 minutes and includes concurrent 20-minute presentations. |
How it works: Attendees will have a list of tables/presentations to choose to visit. The presenter will spend about 15-20 minutes giving a brief presentation describing a particular teaching technique, grading rubric, class activity, advising tip, etc… The presenter will describe the activity and answer questions. After the 15-20 minutes has passed, attendees will select a different table/presentation and so on for the duration of the program. Attendees are allowed to hang out at the cool tables, but feel free to chase them away. |

| Call for Presenters: This occurs in May. | ||
